Since 2019, Resilient Palisades has turned community ideas into action over and over again.

• Helped 50+ Palisades households go solar through our original community solar program.

• Helped bring gas-free gardening to 1,000+ homes by putting commercial-grade electric equipment directly into gardeners’ hands at no cost to them.

• Diverted an estimated 44,000–74,000 pounds of food scraps from the waste stream through Commit to Compost, collecting 300–500 pounds weekly from 13 neighborhood pickup locations.

• Mobilized 300+ resident volunteers across environmental action, wildfire recovery and community rebuilding.

• Removed 1,000+ gallons of invasive plants while restoring native habitat and engaging students in hands-on ecological recovery.

• Mobilized 1,000+ petition signers and hundreds of letters in the fight to protect living fields from plastic turf.

• Hosted 15 Pali Veg Fests, bringing neighbors together around food, sustainability and community, and expanded that work into a post-fire community healing initiative.

• Built Power Up Palisades, connecting rebuilding homeowners with vetted solar and battery installers, competitive pricing and free expert education.

• Helped launch a cross-community post-fire soil recovery consortium, bringing residents, scientists and environmental organizations together around bioremediation and landscape recovery.

• Generated 1,200+ messages to decision makers advocating for safer, cleaner rebuilding after the fire.

• Created the Guiding Principles for Rebuilding, helping put clean energy, fire resilience, healthy landscapes and long-term sustainability at the center of the Palisades recovery.

• Reached hundreds of thousands of people with practical environmental and recovery information.

• Named California Nonprofit of the Year for Senate District 24 in 2025, recognizing years of community action and RP’s response to the Palisades Fire.
