Legacy Project: Pali Microgrid
In 2022, Resilient Palisades helped more than 50 households install rooftop solar through a community group purchasing program.
The Pali Microgrid project increased local solar electricity generation in the Palisades, reduced emissions, helped residents save money, and strengthened local energy resilience.
As our community rebuilds, we are carrying this work forward through Power Up Palisades, a new initiative led by our Electrify the Rebuild team.
Power Up Palisades builds on the same neighbor powered model: bringing residents together, vetting trusted installers, and helping families access more affordable clean energy solutions as they rebuild.

What We Set Out To Do
The Pali Microgrid began with a bold question: what if individual homes with solar and battery storage could eventually work together as part of a larger community energy system?
The first step was simple and practical: help as many Palisadians as possible install solar and battery storage through community group purchasing.
The longer term vision was to explore whether those individual home systems could one day support a community scale microgrid in partnership with LADWP.
That original vision still helps to shape the clean energy work we are carrying forward today.
