Gail Wirth spent years helping make Pacific Palisades healthier, including leading Resilient Palisades' effort to put commercial-grade electric leaf blowers into the hands of 50 local gardeners serving more than 1,000 homes. Then the Palisades Fire destroyed her own home.
A year after feeling “absolutely undone and bereft” by the loss of her home and community of 30 years, Gail and her husband John returned to their lot wearing hard hats, picked up a ceremonial golden shovel and broke ground on the next chapter.
